FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // Foundations 1 is a required introductory course that teaches core biblical doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.
Foundations 2
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // This semester of Foundations will cover the Character & Spiritual Qualities of a Man or Woman of God and the Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth. This course is an introductory course for all LFBI students.
Acts of the Apostles
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // An analytical study of the book of Acts that examines the foundations and early development of Christianity. Particular attention is given to the transition from Israel to the Church and Paul's role in the dispensation of grace.
Hermeneutics
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // An introduction to the fundamental concepts of correct Bible study, focusing on established and time-honored rules of Bible study, the proper use of basic Bible study tools, and an understanding of the theme of the Bible.
English Grammar & the King James Bible
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 1 credit hour // This course will teach students the parts of speech and rules of grammar in the English language for the sake of informing exegetical study within the Authorized Version of the King James Bible.
Manuscript Evidence
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 1 credit hour // This class examines the historical and cultural settings in which the scriptures were inspired and explores the history of preservation and translation from the original manuscripts to today.
Life of Moses & Elisha
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 credit hour // This study will focus on the miracles and works of Moses and Elisha as types of the New Testament minister and as an instruction manual for those seeking to lead others in the body of Christ.
Servant Leadership
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 credit hour // This course focuses on servant leadership in the church through the lens of Mark 8-11, where we see that we serve God and should lead others to do the same.
Introduction to Biblical Counseling
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course will give students an understanding of the sufficiency of Scripture to help people with their mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational problems. Students will see how God's Word transcends modern therapeutic, psychological, and psychiatric approaches.
Introduction to Missions
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course establishes God's mission as the root cause of our existence and the essence of our life purpose. Key issues and terms are biblically defined, and the personal missionary responsibility of the New Testament believer is addressed.

Introduction to New Testament 1
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // Introduction to New Testament 1 is an overview of Matthew through 2 Thessalonians. Topics include the historical context, life application, pictures, types, prophecies, key features and dispensational truth.
Apologetics
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 1 credit hour // This course is designed to equip students to boldly prove biblical Christianity within a secular world while exemplifying a gentle and kind spirit as found in Matthew 10:16.

LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // The goal of this course is to equip the serious student of the word of God with the fundamental principles that govern the history of mankind as it relates to spiritual and ecclesiastical matters.
1 Corinthians
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course approaches the strategic church epistle of 1 Corinthians with the purpose of understanding Paul’s description of ministry in an urban setting, including church order, structure, government and problems. Spiritual gifts are examined in light of the Spirit’s purpose in promoting the effectiveness of the local church.
