The Living Faith Bible Institute library provides students and faculty with theological and research literature intended to supplement the LFBI learning experience and provide an environment conducive to biblical study.

Online Library

The Living Faith Bible Institute provides students with access to several online theology and research platforms.


LIBRARY POLICY

Membership:

  • The LFBI Library is for active Living Faith Bible Institute students only.

  • Be prepared to provide a valid ID and the name of the class(es) you are currently taking.

Borrowing Privileges:

  • Members may borrow up to three books at a time.

  • The borrowing period is thirty days from the day of check out.

  • Some literature in the library is labeled “reference only” which means they may not be checked out due to the scarcity or value of a book.

Renewals:

  • Members may renew borrowed items for an additional one-week period, provided there are no reservations for the items.

  • All renewals must be done in person or student is susceptible to warnings and fines.

Returns:

  • Members are responsible for returning borrowed items on or before the due date.

  • Books must be returned in the same condition as when borrowed.

Late Returns:

  • Upon the expiration of the borrow period, an email will be sent to the student's registered email address reminding them of the overdue items and the accruing late fees.

  • At the end of the borrow period, a $1 per day fine will be applied to each overdue item until the total reaches the market value of the book plus 25%.

  • At the close of the semester, a student will be asked to pay the market value plus 25% for the missing book before they are allowed to enroll for the next semester courses.

Appeals:

  • Students may appeal late fees or replacement charges by submitting a written appeal to the library within 10 days of receiving the bill (email) for the missing book. The academic department will review appeals on a case-by-case basis.

Reservations:

  • Members may reserve books that are currently on loan.

  • Reservations must be done in person on Saturday mornings from 10:00am – 12:00pm

  • Reserved items will be held for seven days after notification.

Lost or Damaged Items:

  • Members are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged items which is market value plus 25%.

  • If a lost item is later found and returned in good condition within 30 days, the replacement cost will be refunded.

Library Environment & Conduct:

  • Students are welcome to stay in the library area during the library hours to research, in this case, students are not required to check out the books for them to be used.

  • Please maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere within the library.

  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the library.

Online Library:

  • Through the myLFBI platform, students have access to many online library resources. We encourage students to use the online library for digital options that extend beyond the physical library.


The library welcomes donations of relevant books
