FOUNDATIONS // 2 CREDIT // Foundations 1 is a required introductory course that teaches core biblical doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.
Foundations 2
FOUNDATIONS // 2 CREDIT // Foundations 2 will cover the Character & Spiritual Qualities of a Man or Woman of God and the Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth. This course is an introductory course for all LFBI students.
Foundations 3
FOUNDATIONS // 2 CREDIT // Foundations 3 will cover the Philosophy of Discipleship; How to Disciple and How to Study the Bible. This course is the introductory course for all LFBI students.
Introduction to Old Testament 2
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 CREDIT // The “Introduction Series” is a Bible survey course focused on the history and writings of both the Old and New Testaments of God’s Word. This course focuses on the books of Psalms through Malachi.
Introduction to New Testament 2
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 CREDIT // The “Introduction Series” is a Bible survey course focused on the history and writings of both the Old and New Testaments of God’s Word. This course focuses on the books of 1 Timothy through Revelation.
Hermeneutics
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 CREDIT // An introduction to the fundamental concepts of correct Bible study, focusing on established and time-honored rules of Bible study, the proper use of basic Bible study tools, and an understanding of the theme of the Bible, namely the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of heaven.
Manuscript Evidence
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 1 CREDIT // This class examines the historical and cultural settings in which the scriptures were inspired, and explores the history of preservation and translation, from the original manuscripts to today.
Introduction to Homiletics
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 CREDIT // This course focuses on the preparation and delivery of biblical sermons, studies, and lessons.
Hebrews
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 CREDIT // This class will provide a sixteen-week substantive overview of the book of Hebrews which sets out to demonstrate the theological, spiritual, and devotional supremacy of Christ and the New Covenant over all other men, gods, philosophical systems, religions, or earthly constructs.
Servant Leadership
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 CREDIT // This course focuses on servant leadership in the church through the lens of Mark 8-11 where we see that we serve God and should lead others to do the same.
Introduction to Missions
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 CREDIT // This course establishes God's mission as the root cause of our existence and the essence of our life purpose. Key issues and terms are biblically defined, and the personal missionary responsibility of the New Testament believer is addressed.
Prayer & Worship
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 CREDIT // A study calling the student to the primacy of effective prayer and worship in the private life of the pastor – directly impacting the spiritual vitality of the entire church.
Biblical Counseling Lab 1
CONTINUING EDUCATION // 1 CREDIT // In this course, students will learn how to apply the skills they have learned from the Introduction to Biblical Counseling course by focusing on how to help people with their mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational problems using the word of God.
Missions 1: Missions Support
CONTINUING EDUCATION // 1 CREDIT // In this course, we will look at the Biblical examples of missions support, the historical movements and methods employed in missions support, and the role of the local church in modern missions support.
