Freshman Orientation
FOUNDATIONS // 1 credit hour // This course is intended to help incoming students become familiar with the Living Faith Bible Institute, it’s philosophy, methodology and student expectations.
Foundations 1
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // Foundations 1 is a required introductory course that teaches core biblical doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.
Foundations 2
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // Foundations 2 will cover the Character & Spiritual Qualities of a Man or Woman of God and the Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth. This course is an introductory course for all LFBI students.
Introduction to Old Testament 2
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // The “Introduction Series” is a Bible survey course focused on the history and writings of both the Old and New Testaments of God’s Word. This course focuses on the books Psalms through Malachi.
Introduction to New Testament 2
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // Introduction to New Testament 2 is an overview of 1 Timothy through Revelation. Topics include the historical context, life application, pictures, types, prophecies, key features and dispensational truth.
Methods of Evangelism
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 1 credit hour // This course will provide the student with the content and context for developing a biblical understanding of evangelism.
Systematic and Dispensational Theology
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // This course gives a survey of the basic doctrines of the Bible, placing each truth-topic within a framework of discipleship. This is done systematically from a dispensational and premillennial perspective.
The Eschatology of Daniel and Revelation
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // An expositional study of the two most important books of prophecy in the Bible: Daniel in the Old Testament and Revelation in the New Testament.
Pastoral Procedures
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course is concerned with practical pastoral duties, responsibilities and relationships. Proper procedures will be covered as well as the personal conduct of the pastor as it relates to his personal life, the flock and his oversight thereof.
The Life of Christ
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // An expositional study of the life of Jesus Christ. This study will focus on the narrative of Christ’s life, his word and his works as an exemplar for the ministry of the New Testament minister.
Worldview & Biblical Reasoning
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course will expose the fallacies of man’s philosophy and teach and equip students on how to understand and defend a logical, biblical worldview in a post-Christian world.
Youth & Children’s Ministry
ELECTIVES // 2 credit hours // This course will cover youth and children’s ministry in the local church. Students will learn about youth and children’s ministry and initiating, developing, and overseeing these ministries.
Biblical Counseling Lab 1
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course is a follow-up to the Intro to Biblical Counseling Course. In this course, we will be applying the knowledge from that course, as well as the Self-Confrontation material, to work through counseling vignettes.
Biblical Counseling Lab 2
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course presents students with a series of lectures and reading assignments that address acute relational issues (interpersonal, familial and marital). It also provides students with role-playing counseling exercises intended to build confidence and strengthen biblical counseling methods.
Missions 3: Church Planting
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This class will provide students with essential biblical concepts, methodologies and best practices associated with the process and preparation of planting churches.
