English Grammar & the King James Bible
Description
Understanding English grammar is critical to biblical interpretation. This course will teach students the parts of speech and rules of grammar for the sake of informing exegetical study. The instruction will include an emphasis on the doctrine of preservation and interpretation of the King James Bible, as well as its historic influence on the formalization of the English language. Students will learn how to block diagram Bible passages based on speech and grammar principles in order to properly interpret what they are reading. The course will also include weekly archaic vocabulary lessons derived from the Authorized Version.
SUMMER SELF-PACE ONLINE: Student learning will be self-guided. Each lecture and quiz taken unlocks the next lecture and quiz. This allows the student to pace themselves through the content between the dates associated with the course. All major projects and assignments can be submitted at any time between the dates of the course. All assignments have a hard end date of August 3rd @ 11:59 pm CST.
